JLR's Engine Manufacturing Centre wins RICS Regeneration award!

19 May 2014

Stace are proud to announce that Jaguar Land Rover’s Engine Manufacturing Centre wins the West Midlands RICS Regeneration Award 2014.

We were delighted to be involved in the construction of a new 98,000m2 advanced engine facility for Jaguar Land Rover. The facility represents a key requirement in JLR’s global growth plans.

The project involved construction of the engine facility, which comprises of three large open plan process halls: a machine hall for the machining of parts and two separate assembly halls for assembling the finished parts into engines. Ancillary support buildings also offer necessary staff facilities, including various engine test facilities and laboratories. Offices, training rooms, restaurants and an education business partnership centre complete the scheme.

The project also involved the construction of the base building design, highly bespoke to JLR Powertrain department fit-out requirements. Close integration and co-ordination with JLR during overlapping construction and fit-out phases.

The construction was phased; the machine hall and first assembly hall completed in December 2013 and the second assembly hall is due for completion October 2014.

Good luck at the finals!
