Appointed by Drivers Jonas Deloitte for Scarborough Council to provide Quantity Surveying and CDM services, Stace LLP are pleased to be involved int he redevelopment of Scarborough Spa.

The Scarborough Spa has been a recognised venue since the 1600s, the complex today is occupied by a stone-built Victorian Grade II* listed building, originally designed by Sir Joseph Paxton in 1857 and later remodelled by Verity & Hunt in 1877.

Funded by Yorkshire Forward as part of its ongoing Renaissance Programme, the project which is about to onto site, involves a £4m redevelopment with the main focus being the upgrade of the Grand Hall to provide a theatre facility for 1600-1800 people.

Other works include, upgrade of the aquarium underground car park, new retail and surfing facilities, improvement of the main access road, improvements to sun court including retractable sun roof, redevelopment of the spa waters building, foreshore improvements and associated landscaping works.
